This is not a fake video! This is Tony Hawk riding Jill and Greg Henderson’s real Hendo Hoverboard. Watch as Tony tests it on the mini half pipe for the first time. Tony wasn’t sure if it was real or not after seeing the Hendo Hover video that was posted on Kickstarter, so he decided to go there and test it out. It is Official, Back to The Future is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The New York Post just uploaded this footage of a Baby Elephant surviving an attack by 14 lions. The Baby Elephant was greatly out numbered and still held it’s own during the attack. Just in case you didn’t see this Insane Daredevel stunt the other night on The Discovery Channel. Watch as Daredevil Nik Wallenda tightropes from the top of the Marina City West Skycrapper to the Leo Burnett Building which is on the other side of the river. Keep in mind here too that the Leo Burnett Building is a lot taller than the Marina City tower. This means that Nik Wallenda will be tightroping up 100 feet while crossing, adding to this incredible challenge. And to finish it off, he decides to come back blindfolded!
This is one that you have to see to believe. Watch as this base jumper strapped with a head cam jumps off the 1200 foot Kuala Lumpur Tower Skyscrapper and parachutes down to a smaller building landing into the roof top pool during a party none the less. He better be getting free drinks all night for pulling off that stunt.
These guys decided to do a science project inspired by Col. Joe Kittinger from back in 1960. Col. Kittinger back in 1960 took a balloon over 100,000 feet and skydived back to earth. These guys decided to send a balloon strapped with a camera up over 100,000 feet to catch the Awesome footage. They launched The balloon on Saturday, September 27th from Port Saint Lucie, Florida. The fight time on the camera was wrong. The actual time was 10:58 with the burst at 12:43 giving a total flight time of 1:45:17. You get to see first hand what Col. Joe Kittinger, and Felix Baumgartner witnessed in actual time.
Checkout this Amazing Footage! Have you ever seen a polite and social stingray before? A lot of people are scared of stingrays because of their dangerous spike tail. The most famous death by stingray was when a stingray’s tail killed ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Steve Irwin back on September 4, 2006. Well, this footage here shows just how nice and social stingrays can really be. Tourists that were on vacation in the Maldives, a group of islands in the Indian Ocean, just south of India captured this footage. They were feeding fish just off the dock when the extraordinary event unfolded. It was published to Youtube on the 19th of September 2014.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has just released new footage to youtube on September 15th of a new algorithm that they have developed for the Robotic Cheetah. The MIT Robotic Cheetah can run up to 10 miles per hour. The new algorithm allows the Cheetah to jump. Watch as this Cheetah can now jump over one foot high obstacles. Most robotic animals up to date have been powered by internal combustion engines, and hydraulic transmissions. MIT shows you that a electric powered robotic animal can run and jump over obstacles and not make all the noise of an internal combustion engine.
The University of Birmingham in The United Kingdom has just discovered a series of new monuments located on the grounds at stonehenge using advanced technology. Professor Vince Gaffney & Eamonn Baldwin explain in this video how they used Magnetometers, Electromagnetic induction, and Ground Penetrating Radar to locate new monuments located under the earth on the grounds surrounding Stonehenge. Some of the monuments discovered look like Mini-Henges. This video was published to Youtube on September 12, 2014.
Let me tell you a little about an amazing company called ReWalk Robotics. Rewalk is a commercial bionic exoskeleton walking assistance system that uses its robotic powered legs to allow paraplegics the opportunity to sit up, stand, and believe it or not, Walk Again! That’s right, this invention is something right out of a Tom Cruise sci-fi movie.
The Rewalk robotic exoskeleton was developed by Dr. Amit Goffer. He is an Israeli inventor who became a quadriplegic after an ATV accident in 1997. Who better to invent something, than some one who knows first had what it is like to not walk. The system allows the user to sit up, stand, walk, climb stairs and the freedom to make their own decisions again.
Rewalk Robotics filed for an Initial Public offering to list on the Nasdaq back on July 10, 2014. They will offer 3,350,000 shares to the market at around 14 to 16 a share. This should help them raise around 60 million dollars off the IPO.
I have embedded two videos to describe your questions in more detail.
(1) The first video is the Introduction video on Rewalk Robotic website, which gives you the jist of it.
(2) The second video is footage of Barrack Obama visiting Rewalk Robotics on his trip to Israel back in 2013.
